The Everything is Memory exhibit that is part of the Illuminating Time artists-in-residence group showcase is soon coming to a close (end of January). Many of you know that my work is ephemeral so a lot of the calligraphy work I’ve done will be recycled back into nature.

If there is one piece I would like for you to experience, it is the brother and sister installation called “The Weeping Script.” I feel this calligraphy piece with an audio poem, carries on its back, a weight the other installations like “One Long Arm” and “Gold Lightning and Lullaby Scripts” cannot carry. It took me a long time to realize that I don’t have to wait for people to come back around. It’s a struggle for a lot of foundlings, we fall in the entrapments of waiting, wondering, and forgetting that we don’t have to leave this world lonely—just alone, like a circle. And that too can be beautiful.
